Coronavirus has made all of us a little uneasy these days. Even country stars like Miranda Lambert are worried. Concerts are cancelled for the foreseeable future, leaving performers wondering when they’ll be able to take the stage once again.

Miranda Lambert on Coronavirus Anxiety
In a recent interview, Miranda says she enjoys spending time with her family and cooking while at home, but she really misses performing. Being unable to sing to fans on stage has made her pretty anxious.
“I cooked too much and ate way too much, and then I had to roll that back a little bit,” the singer jokes. “There’s stuff to do, it’s just the adjusting of not knowing when I’m going to work again. It’s uneasy.”
Like many other artists, Miranda occasionally performs virtual concerts for fans to enjoy. However, she prefers in-person shows where she feels she can really connect with fans.
The interviewer asked what she misses most about touring. She quickly answered, “The fans and the feeling.”
She goes on to say, “I guess nothing made me realize that more than singing into a screen, which I absolutely hate. I just can’t do it. I started this career 18 years ago for that feeling, not for my Zoom call. I just can’t do it.”
And we sure miss watching her perform, too! Miranda’s new single, “Bluebird,” is amazing. We can’t wait to hear her perform it on stage someday. Miranda’s ex, Blake Shelton, and his current girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, are also working on new music. These are tough times, but if all our favorite artists take this time to work on new songs, we’ll all be in for a huge treat once touring starts again.
Miranda’s New Friend
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton married in 2011 and were together until 2015. She later married New York City Police Officer Brendan McLoughlin in 2019. Brendan and Miranda recently adopted an orange kitten named “Tequila.” He seems to be adjusting quite well.
According to Miranda’s Instagram, she and Brendan were driving along when they spotted an orange kitten in the road. She says Brendan saw it first and turned around to go after it, knowing Miranda would be upset with him if he saw it and left it.
“This kitten rode 9 hours back to Nashville with us and 3 dogs and was such a champ. He is 4-5 weeks old and weighs 14 Ounces,” she says. We can’t wait to see more pictures of little Tequila in the future.
