Jana Kramer is taking the side of the Miranda Lambert fans who were essentially shamed for taking selfies during one of her shows. This has become a major controversy with artists taking sides. Some feel that Lambert was right for calling out the fans. Yet, others believe that this is a show and those attending should have as much fun as they want. Now, Jana is speaking up about her thoughts on the situation. What exactly is she saying? Read on for more details.
Jana Kramer Sides With Miranda Lambert Fans
Miranda Lambert has concertgoers and performers divided after a recent selfie scandal. Fans were taking selfies during a recent concert of hers but she called them out. It was not only embarrassing but it made her look like she was not any fun. Then, a video resurfaced of beach balls being tossed at one of her shows. She then proceeded to pop one and say that it was not a beach but a concert. The fans spoke out and needless to say, it had them taken aback. Of course, concerts are not photo ops but what the girls were doing was seemingly harmless. Many artists such as LL Cool J tried to let Lambert know this was not that serious.
Now, Jana Kramer has entered the chat and is sharing her thoughts. According to Us Weekly, she is actually siding with the side of the fans. She spoke out on her Whine Down podcast about how she felt regarding the situation. “I love when someone’s taking a selfie. I’m gonna go in and [say] like, ‘cheese,’ because that’s a part of them remembering the concert and having fun and wanting me to be a part of it,” Kramer explained. Aside from that, Kramer felt that the way Miranda Lambert reacted was not right.
“Even if it was just them [in the photo], I’d be like, ‘Take [as many] selfies as you want. You’re at my concert having so much fun.’ This seems like a respectful situation where they were just wanting to take a photo, and in my mind, I thought that was kinda rude,” she concluded. However, Jana does have her limits when it comes to respect at a show. There was a time when someone was watching sports during a taping of her podcast.
Respectfully Calling Out
Jana Kramer explained that there is a fun way to call out fans but only if they are truly being a hindrance to the show or the others around them. She referred to the person watching sports during the live podcast. Kramer made sure to comically call him out so others would laugh. It seems like she would never want to shame anyone.
