Morgan Wallen may be known for his bad-boy persona and drunk antics, however, he also has a soft spot for the causes he cares about. Recently, the singer made a huge donation to a worthy cause. So, what do we know about it?
Morgan Wallen Known For Making Controversial Headlines
The one thing you can count on Morgan Wallen to do consistently is make hit songs and controversial headlines. The You Proof singer has been in hot water over a drunken incident that took place at a rooftop bar in Nashville. The singer allegedly threw a chair from the rooftop bar, with it allegedly landing near police officers down below.
Many fans and even public relations specialists believe that stunts like these add to Wallen’s image as a bad boy of country music. Some even said that it was good timing for an incident like this, as Wallen was getting ready to open his own bar as well. While negative, this is exactly the kind of publicity that can potentially draw huge crowds.
Wallen Has A Charitable Soft Spot Too
Based on the latest updates making the rounds, Morgan Wallen does a lot more than fuel his bad-boy image. He also does things for the local community as well. It turns out, The Morgan Wallen Foundation recently donated a whopping $100k to the community of Jefferson City.
The purpose of the generous donation is to renovate two baseball fields in the community. This is something that is deeply personal to Morgan Wallen, as he played on those fields during his Little League days. This is a wonderful way to give back to the community, and one that will continue to help the youth thrive.
What Will The $100k Go Toward?
$80k will go toward renovations for Roy Harmon Field, while the other $20k will go toward New Market Field. The funds will go toward revamping various aspects, including new infields, dugouts, bases, press boxes, fencing, and more. When you consider that it has been over 20 years since Roy Harmon Field had last renovations, that’s a lot of wear and tear, and a lot that needs fixing, which these funds will allow.
It’s always good to see those ticket and album sales funneling back into the community. In this instance, future generations of little leaguers will have newly updated places to play the sport they love.
Wallen is currently in the middle of his hugely successful One Night At A Time Tour. So far, the massive tour has already sold more than 2.4M tickets, with a portion of those proceeds going to The Morgan Wallen Foundation. In addition to selling out venues across the country, it’s good to see the chart-topper finding ways like this to give back to the local community in the process.
