Maren Morris admits that she has no regrets when it comes to the tweets she sent out about Brittany Aldean. The two have completely opposite beliefs and have butted heads a lot. Maren Morris Has No Regrets About Brittany Aldean Tweets
There has been a lot of bad blood between Maren Morris and Brittany Aldean. Maren decided she was done with country music because the values did not align with who she was and what she wanted in her life. Yet, she clarified she was not leaving the genre entirely. Rather, she would be exploring other genres that appealed to her. She has done that and recently released a five-song EP called Intermission which is considered pop. In it, she sings about her newfound bisexuality and the divorce she went through from Ryan Hurd in late 2023.
More so, Maren is living for herself and not making any apologies. That being said, she is now speaking out about tweets she has sent in the past. One of them was a very harsh tweet to Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany. According to Us Weekly, Maren sent out one where she referred to Brittany as “Insurrection Barbie.” However, she does not regret that in any capacity and, moreover, does not regret anything that she has said on Twitter/X.
I don’t really have any tweets that I’ve regretted. I will say I didn’t think my ‘Insurrection Barbie’ tweet to a certain someone would have picked up so much momentum, but I stand by it.
That certain someone is Brittany Aldean and occurred two years ago in 2022. It was in response to a deemed transphobic tweet from Brittany in which she said this:
I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.
Cassadee Pope tweeted this in response to Brittany:
You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging. But instead here we are, hearing someone compare their ‘tomboy phase’ to someone wanting to transition. Real nice.
That was when Maren chimed in with her viral response that gained 11K likes and 1K retweets:

She Won’t Stay Silent
The one thing about Maren Morris is she refuses to stay silent about her feelings no matter what people have to say about her. More so, she does not believe she is losing fans over her beliefs which is fine. Now, she is expressing herself and that means understanding her truth. In early 2024, she revealed she was bisexual. One of her songs is all about her first date with a woman and fans love this new sound and the truth that comes from it. Hopefully, she can keep honoring who she is and owning what she says and does.
