Post Malone’s Country Album Tops Charts
Post Malone knocked Taylor Swift out of the top of the Billboard charts. His first country album, F-1 Trillion, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poet’s Department has dominated the spot since its April release.
F-1 Trillion features multiple collaborations with high-profile country artists, including Tim McGraw, Jelly Roll, and Lainey Wilson. Post Malone’s song with Morgan Wallen, “I Had Some Help,” stayed put in the number two spot on the Hot 100 charts for another week.
“Pour Me A Drink” featuring Blake Shelton jumped from number 30 to 13, Us Weekly reported. The outlet noted that Post Malone’s country album had the biggest debut this year after Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter, which featured Post Malone on “Levii’s Jeans.”
Dolly Parton Manhandles Post Malone During First Meeting
Few have welcomed Post Malone or Beyoncé into the country genre more than Dolly Parton. She featured on both debut albums. Beyoncé covered Parton’s hit song “Jolene,” and the album included a voice message from Dolly Parton to Beyoncé.
Dolly Parton and Post Malone teamed up on his new album for the song “Have The Heart.” He’s been a long-time admirer of the entertainment icon. So, it’s no surprise that he was completely starstruck during one of their first meetings.
He shared a video clip on his Instagram from a promotional photoshoot he did with Dolly Parton. He praised Dolly as “so amazing” while they stood side-by-side. But that wasn’t close enough for the “Romeo” singer.
Just as Post Malone confessed his heart was beating fast, Dolly Parton pulled him close and wrapped his arms around her waist.
