Plenty of country superstars are putting their money where their mouths are and helping with the hurricane relief effort. One of those superstars is none other than Morgan Wallen, who recently did what he could and more to bring hope to (and inspire) recent hurricane victims.
Hurricane Damage Has Forever Changed Many Lives
This hurricane season has been brutal for many people, families, and animals, as Hurricane Helene and others have caused irreparable damage to lives in places they tore through. With many states feeling the weight in the aftermath, it is a struggle for many to pick up the pieces and attempt to rebuild.
Most eyes are now on Hurricane Milton, but, even as that is going on, all those hit by Hurricane Helene are still struggling to put the pieces of their lives back together, especially in states like North Carolina, South Carolina, East Tennessee, and Georgia.
Morgan Wallen Brings Hope To Victims In The Aftermath
Morgan Wallen is one of a handful of popular country artists using their platform and their resources to help those communities most in need. Recently, Wallen showed up in Knoxville for a food and water drive that he held, in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.
Wallen did not show up by himself, either. He had some famous friends with him, including comedian and podcast host, Theo Von. All in all, it was a much-needed show of compassion and generosity from the singer, and one that many people won’t soon forget.
Wallen Leaves Behind Bible Verse And Lifts The Spirits Of Those Suffering The Most
In the aftermath of catastrophic events such as these, sometimes a little morale boost can be the difference that helps entire communities rise again after tragedy. In this instance, Morgan Wallen did what he could to lift the spirits of those most in need during this difficult time.
Along with handing out food and water, Morgan Wallen also wrote down a bible verse in what was left of one of the damaged homes, writing: “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”
Morgan Wallen may get a bad rap as the bad boy of country music, but, in times like these, he continues to prove that he is a guy people can count on. No matter what people say about him in the media, he shows up when it counts, and he did just that recently, in addition to previously donating $500k from his foundation to help with the relief effort.
