Morgan Wallen Made Headlines With Drunken Chair-Throwing Incident

Morgan Wallen was arrested back in April over a drunken chair-throwing incident at a Nashville bar. Wallen threw a chair from the bar that landed next to police officers down below. The superstar country singer was arrested for this incident, and it quickly made headlines.

Wallen has branded himself as the alcohol-drinking, hard-partying, rebel of country music. So, in a sense, this drunken incident was in line with the kind of public image that Wallen portrays. However, while this may have fed into his existing bad-boy persona, it’s also an incident that could have very real consequences.

Wallen Preliminary Hearing Switch-Up

Wallen was supposed to have a preliminary hearing on December 12 related to this incident. It would have been his first time in court following the initial hearing on May 3. However, based on the latest reports making the rounds, there is something else in store related to this case.

Wallen was charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct. As much as this plays into Wallen’s image of being a rebel of country music, these charges can have some very real consequences, depending on how things turn out.

Morgan Wallen Chair-Throwing Incident Headed For Grand Jury

It turns out, there’s a reason why this recent Wallen hearing is no longer going through as intended. Instead, it is headed for the Davidson County Grand Jury. It will be up to the Davidson County Grand Jury to decide if Morgan Wallen will ultimately be charged with these felonies. If they do decide to move forward, there will be an indictment, which would then lead to the case going to trial.

Either way, how this case moves forward will soon be determined by what this grand jury ultimately decides. So, Wallen fans will want to keep an eye on this case to see what the singer’s fate will be.

There’s also the fact that the Davidson Country Grand Jury won’t officially meet until January 2025. So, it will more than likely be at least a month before fans find out if the singer will get indicted. As well as for which charges, if any.
