TikTok Launched Walker Hayes Into Superstardom
One of the things that various social media platforms do is bridge the gap between people. All it takes is for one video to go viral, and it can be a game-changer for someone and the overall trajectory of their career. This was absolutely the case for Hayes, as his videos on TikTok gained momentum.
Speaking to Today host Hoda Kotb about his successful rise, Hayes said: “With every song I was releasing, [my daughter and I] did a TikTok. Now, we might get a thousand views, but when we did that dance, I mean a million [views] that night. Honestly, I was a little bit afraid. I had never had that many eyes on something I had done before.”
Hayes Shares Heartbreaking Loss
Unfortunately for Walker Hayes and his family, the country star recently took to social media to share a tragedy that hit close to home. Their beloved fur baby recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and Hayes recently shared a touching tribute to his furry family member, as well as a collage of pics.
Sharing the tragic update, Hayes said: “Lost a great dog today. Noly (short for Magnolia) left us this morning. 13 years old. She was the best. Hopefully she’s wherever Hazel went. I do really wonder what the deal is with dogs. Where they go etc. God made a very special animal. What a companion to people. Their loyalty and their forgiveness is inspiring. Noly’s breath was the worst…almost as bad as her farts.”
Hayes continued, adding: “Hopefully soon we will be able to see the spaces where she used to be in our house and our lives and smile…I imagine getting back home will be sad. We were incredibly grateful that she died while we were with Laneys parents and family around to hug us. Burying her was a family effort. She has the most beautiful spot by Pop’s Lake. Noly, thank you for loving the many versions of us for 13 years. You did good so good…you can rest now. Tell Hazel we love and hiss her whenever you get to wherever dogs go.”
