Miley Cyrus has opened up about her relationship with her father Billy Ray Cyrus. They have had a rocky relationship, and things have not improved after his Marriage to Firerose has ended. Miley is one of six children that Billy Ray has. The relationship between Miley, 32, and Billy Ray, 63, is strained. Miley is upset that her father chose to sacrifice the relationship with his family in favor of his marriage to Firerose. Firerose is 29 years younger than Billy Ray and only two years older than Miley. The marriage between Cyrus and Firerose has already ended.
Miley And Her Father Billy Ray Cyrus Have A Difficult Past
The relationship between rock star Billy Ray and his pop star daughter Miley has been strained for many years. The pair have been feeding over the choices that Cyrus has made about his family for a long time. Miley has gone so far as to publically snub her father including leaving him out of any acceptance speeches. A source close to Miley has said:
“Miley is all about peace, but she didn’t agree with some things that her father has done. It has really escalated and they are not on good terms. There were words exchanged over what happened towards the end of Billy and Tish’s marriage, and since then, but they clearly see things very differently.”
Billy Ray Cyrus has not made much of an effort to repair things with his daughter. he makes meeager attempts to contact her via social media and does not own up to the things Miley has concerns over. Their latest feud was over Billy Ray’s relationship with Firerose.
The Father/Daughter Duo Estranged
Billy Ray has spoken about his concern over the distance his relationship created between himself and his daughter Miley. He offered his daughter birthday wishes when she turned 32. However, a source close to Miley stated that the social media post for her birthday had been the only contact she had received from her rock star father. The Marriage to Firerose that strained the relationship between Miley Cyrus and her father lasted only 7 months. Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose split in May 2024. An inside source says Miley still refuses to speak with her father. A source close to Miley Cyrus said:
“Firerose saw Miley as a threat to what she was seeking – control over Billy Ray, virtually forbade him to see Milwy. She practically led him around by the nose until he realized how far he had strayed from those who meant the most to him.”
Another friend close to Miley Cyrus said: “Miley loathed Firerose. Billy hopes now that she’s out of his life, Miley is going to let him back into hers – but he knows he’s got some work to do.” Fans hope that Billy Rae and his daughter Miley will be able to reconcile now that Firerose is no longer in the picture.
