Jelly Roll had his mind set on taking a break from touring once 2025 rolled around. However, all that changed once Post Malone inserted himself into the picture. So, what did Post do to convince Jelly to get back out on the road in 2025?

Jelly Roll Had A Busy 2024

Without question, Jelly Roll has been one of the biggest breakout stars around. Even though he perfected his craft for years, it took him years to finally break into the mainstream and get the recognition that he deserved. However, once that train started, it did not stop.

In 2024 alone, Jelly Roll blew up and was all over the map. Whether he was rubbing elbows with other famous musicians on stage and at award shows, or stopping to take pictures with truckers and grandmothers at Walmart, the entire world fell in love with Jelly, as his profile shot into the stratosphere.

Jelly Planned To Ease Into 2025

With how busy Jelly Roll was in 2024, no one would blame him for wanting to ease into 2025 and not go so hard right out of the gate. In fact, it seems that is exactly what Jelly planned to do to welcome the new year. Initially, Jelly was going to take a break from touring the United States, something he did a lot of in 2024.

When you burn the candle at both ends the way that Jelly Roll had been doing, he had one of the busiest schedules of anyone around, including other celebrities. In addition to touring and releasing new music, Jelly also took time out of his schedule to speak to troubled youth, who are at the exact same point in life where he once was.

Jelly even went as far as to announce that he would not be headlining any tours in 2025 during a previous appearance on The Pat McAfee Show back in November 2024. At that time, Jelly said: “This is breaking news for Jelly Roll. I’m not going to headline a tour in America next year. It’ll be my first year not headlining a tour in America since 2020, but before that it was like 2012. It’s been a long time, so I think we’ve done enough this year.”

Surprising Way Post Malone Changed Jelly Roll’s Mind

Jelly Roll was prepared to stick to his plan, at least until Post Malone came knocking. It turns out, just as Jelly was getting ready to relax and spend time with his family, he got a call from Post Malone, asking him to hit the road with him.

It was soon announced that Jelly Roll would be a special guest on Post Malone’s THE BIG A** Stadium Tour, running from April 29 through July 1. Even Jelly himself said he was surprised as anyone with how quickly it all came together.

Jelly said: “It didn’t even seem real how fast the tour came together. Post hit me and was like, ‘We should tour,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m always in, anytime.’ Sure enough, the next day Live Nation hit management and said they want to do Jelly on his tour. From us agreeing to it, to announcing it was like 12 days, it was crazy. What’s even funnier is I planned on taking next year off [from touring], so the cool thing is if you wanted to see me next year, you can now. It worked out perfectly. Go Post; shoutout to Post.”
