Miranda Lambert Made A Splash On Nashville Star

Listeners may not remember Nashville Star, but, it was the singing competition that helped put Miranda Lambert on the map. The program was essentially American Idol for country artists.

From 2003 to 2008, there were a total of six seasons of the show. From her time on the program, Miranda Lambert cemented herself as a force, and it laid the foundation for what her career would eventually become. She may not have won her season, but it helped her launch her career.

Even in more recent years, listeners have seen the likes of Morgan Wallen compete on The Voice. So, it just goes to show that you can make your own way as long as you capitalize on opportunities.

Lambert Reflects On Career With Latest Album Release

With Lambert dropping a new album, she has had a lot of time to reflect on both where she is now, as well as how far she has come along her music journey. Speaking to Variety, the singer reflected on her latest record, and what it means to her to have made it this far.

Lambert said: “How freaking lucky am I that fans have stayed with me all this time and my country music community has believed all this time, so that I could still create? I’m so grateful for it.”

Certainly, in a cutthroat industry like the music business, it’s a privilege to survive for two decades and continue to thrive, which is exactly what Miranda Lambert has managed to do.

Lambert said: “It’s almost like when you have a big birthday. I turned 40 last November, and so it’s taking a moment to go inward and reflect on everything. “Gratitude” is my word for today, for getting to release “Postcards From Texas.” … I’m having a 20-year legacy so far, and in another breath, I’m just getting started.”
