Country music artist Luke Combs just secured another number one hit. And its a song that people might know from a blockbuster movie.

Luke Combs’ Twisters Song

Luke recently released a song titled ‘Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma’. The single is a part of the Twisters movie soundtrack. The soundtrack is filled with several other country stars, including Miranda Lambert and Jelly Roll.

Not only has the song gone Gold, but it’s officially a number one single on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. This news comes just weeks after a song he previously turned down turned down became a number one hit.

Nevertheless, “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma” marks his 17th number-one hit so far. But, it’s not his first movie song.

His single ‘Let’s Just Be Friends’ was on the soundtrack for The Angry Birds Movie 2 back in 2019.

Is This Song An Original?

It’s not a surprise that the song is doing so well, since a ton of people are talking about it. And most have nothing but great things to say.

In a Reddit thread, listeners gave their honest opinions of the song. “When he came in literally screaming the first verse, absolute chills. Was not expecting that in a modern country song, even a rock-leaning one,” one person commented.

“As someone who doesn’t like country music, I was hooked on this song immediately,” another person chimed in.

However, some people pointed out that while it sounds good, the song sounds familiar. Specifically, there were listeners who thought it resembled a Blake Shelton hit.

“Does anyone else hear the similarities of Blake Shelton’s ‘Gods Country?’ I feel like I’m going crazy, but it feels like the exact same song.” Multiple people commented underneath and said that they thought the same thing.

The two artists have never worked together. In fact, Combs was rejected from auditioning on The Voice before Blake had a chance to see him. Neither one of them have publicly addressed the similarity comments just yet.

How The Hit Song Came To Be

Not only does Luke sing “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” but Combs also co-produced and co-wrote it. When it came to the overall process of creating the song, it came together very quickly.

According to him, he thought of the title while on a Zoom call for the movie. “As soon as it was over, I threw it out to one of the co-writers, Jonathan, who was in the room with me, and about two days later we got together and wrote this tune, and it really came together super naturally,” he explained.
