Country music icon Garth Brooks is dealing with serious allegations. The intensity of the allegations led most to assume that he was going to postpone his current Las Vegas residency. Read on to find out what decision he made.
Garth Brooks Performs After Allegations
The same night that the accusations against him hit the public, Garth decided to continue with his October 3 show for his Vegas residency.
After his performance, he shared a photo on social media, in which he was performing in front of a packed crowd.
The singer gave a shoutout to the audience that came out and showed their support, despite all of the negative headlines surrounding him.
“If there was ever a night that I really needed this, TONIGHT was that night! Thank you for my life,” Brooks wrote in the IG post’s caption.
Garth Brook’s Sexual Assault Lawsuit & Legal Battle
A lawsuit was recently filed against Garth, accusing him of multiple instances of sexual misconduct. The case was brought under the name Jane Roe, an alias to protect the identity of the alleged victim.
Jane claims that she began working for Brooks back in 2017. Prior to that, she worked on and off as a hairstylist for his wife Trisha Yearwood. She alleges that the alleged assault took place in 2019.

The allegations brought in the lawsuit accuse him of raping her, sending explicit messages, and more.
In response, Garth has released a statement in which he not only denies that any of her allegations ever happened, but that Jane Roe has been harassing him.
Brooks claims that he’s been threatened for the last two months to give up some “hush money” to the alleged victim and that he actually filed a defamation case against her, a month before she filed her lawsuit.
Some People Are Leaving Garth’s Fanbase
Arguably one of the biggest country music stars of all time, Garth has gained quite a large fanbase over the years.
While some are sticking by the singer no matter what, evident by his recent performance, others are quickly removing him from their favorites list.
In a Reddit thread, former fans went to share their disappointment after hearing the shocking allegations. Here are a few of the comments:
- “Garth has always struck me as having a fake humility that cast glaring light on an enormous ego.”
- “How hard is it to not sexually assault/batter women???? Omg.”
- “To know that he did this is beyond deeply disappointing…I hope the victims get the support and justice they deserve.”
