As a living legend in country music, as well as a music icon all around, Dolly Parton still keeps herself busy, and very much in the public eye. Whether she is stopping in for interviews, working with other country artists on a project, or doing something else entirely, she keeps herself busy.
Most recently, Dolly Parton teamed up for a jewelry collaboration commemorating the 50th anniversary of her album, Life is Like a Butterfly. While Dolly has had to slow down when it comes to things like touring, she continues to keep herself occupied, and her many fans love to see it.
Dolly Parton Mourning After Tragic Loss
As much as Dolly Parton has going on in her life to be thankful for, tragedy struck close to home, based on the latest updates making the rounds. It turns out, David Wilburn Parton, Dolly’s older brother, passed away at the age of 82. Losing a family member is always difficult, and this case is no different.
Dolly Parton’s sister, Stella Parton, recently confirmed and commented on the passing of her brother, David. She went on to say: “My brother David passed away peacefully this morning. It’s never easy to say goodbye to a loved one but he got his angel wings and is now at peace.”
An obituary for David Wilburn Parton details that he “passed away at his home” on Friday, November 15, in White Pine, Tennessee. There is no cause of death listed.

Dolly Parton Yet To Respond As Fans Pour In With Condolences
At the time of this writing, Dolly Parton has not officially addressed the passing of her brother, David Wilburn Parton. However, this is, understandably, a period of mourning and loss for the entire family.
