Miranda Lambert has a lot going on. As one of the biggest stars in country music over the last two decades, she has done it all and more in the industry. It turns out, however, that Miranda recently dished on her biggest passion, and it may not be what most people might think.
Miranda Lambert Made Triumphant Return With Latest New Album
Miranda Lambert has been busy of late promoting her newest record, which she officially released back in September. Before this, it had been a few years since Miranda released a full-length record. Naturally, her many fans were eager for new music from the Texas native, with the album appropriately titled, Postcards From Texas.
As you do when you have an all-new record out, you do the talk show circuit and various interviews to promote the record. This was also a poignant time of reflection for Lambert, as she got to thinking about the two decades she has been in the industry as a successful artist, and what that all means to her in the grand scheme of things.
Lambert Has Passions Beyond Music
One thing that being a successful artist does is, it opens the door to new opportunities to pursue other passions. This is exactly what Miranda Lambert has done in the years since her music career first took off. One of the ways she uses her influence is to carry out charitable work with her animal rescue endeavors.
MuttNation Foundation is an organization that Miranda Lambert started with her mother. The mission of the foundation is to find homes for shelter pets. They even raise money to help with spaying, neutering, and educating different communities on these issues.
Recently, it was announced that MuttNation Foundation would even expand to horses, which is another of Miranda’s passions.
Miranda Lambert Opens Up About Her Foundation And More
Recently, Lambert talked about her foundation, as well as what it has been like working on this project with her mother. To date, the organization has raised over $9M to promote this vision since they started it in 2009.
Speaking about her foundation and what it means to her, Lambert recently said: “It’s cool to be able to share passion with your mom, and she’s been my biggest fan and biggest supporter. But [MuttNation is] something that brings us together on a human level. It’s out of the glamour, out of the glitz. It’s just about a passion of doing good for the world and saving animals.”
