Lainey Wilson has achieved a lot of things in the last few years alone. Recently, the singer opened up about the achievement that means the most to her above all. So, which achievement is it, and what else did the singer and songwriter from Louisiana have to say about it?
Lainey Wilson Has Come A Long Way In A Short Time
It isn’t a stretch to say that Lainey Wilson has had one of the most meteoric rises in the last few years. She is now at the top of the charts, acting on hit television shows, and rubbing elbows with all of the most famous people in Nashville and beyond. In just a handful of years, she has climbed to the top of the mountain, and she is now reaping all of the rewards for her hard work.
In addition to guest roles on popular shows like Yellowstone, Lainey even opened her own restaurant in the heart of downtown Nashville, serving up some home cooking from her home state of Louisiana. Along with topping the charts with her own music, she has also taken the stage with the likes of Jelly Roll and more for memorable collaborations.
Wilson’s Latest Record Is A Real Breakthrough
Lainey Wilson is riding high since the release of her latest record, Whirlwind. Much like the name of this latest album, Lainey’s career has become quite the whirlwind as well. The way Wilson puts it, she recently told PEOPLE: “Country’s having its moment, and I’m proud to be a part of the movement.”
Lainey has indeed done a lot of moving, particularly around the country as she has been on tour. She recently wrapped her Country’s Cool Again Tour, playing over 35 shows. In addition to that, Wilson also co-hosted the 2024 CMA Awards with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.
Lainey Wilson Reveals The Achievement She Is Most Proud Of
With Lainey Wilson stacking so many achievements, awards, and accolades in a relatively short time, some of her biggest fans may wonder what the biggest achievement is for her out of everything she has done so far. According to Lainey, she recently answered that question.
The singer said that of all of the things she has achieved so far, and out of all of the recognition she has received, the thing that means the most to her is when she got invited to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Wilson said: “When I got invited to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry this past year, that is better than any award I could ever get. The Grand Ole Opry is a magical place. My parents took me there when I was nine years old.”
Wilson continued, adding: “I remember where I was sitting and who I was watching and feeling like so much of the history of country music has happened in that place and so many people have walked through that door that have paved the way for me.”
