Kane Brown is one of the most popular country artists around, and he has been for several years now. So, when the chatter started that he was teasing a new record, his entire fanbase was ready to lose their minds over it. Brown has made a habit of churning out hits that resonate with his fans, and this latest offering promised to be even more of that.

On January 24, Kane Brown dropped his new record, called The High Road. The new record features an impressive 18 songs, with a 58-minute runtime. The record also features some surprising collaborations, including ones with Brad Paisley, Jelly Roll, and of course, Brown’s wife, Katelyn Brown.

Brown Opens Up About ‘Haunted,’ His New Single With Jelly Roll

Anything to do with Jelly Roll these days is automatic money in the bank and fire on the charts. In this aspect, it’s not surprising that Kane Brown wanted to get Jelly Roll on one of his tracks, and he picked a perfect one to do it on, with “Haunted.”

Speaking of “Haunted,” Kane Brown said: “That song means more to me now than it ever has and it’s about to come out at the perfect time. My wife has been amazing and she’s a hundred percent there for me. I hope you have somebody like that in your life, and if you don’t, find something to take the depression off your mind, like video games or something like that.”

Kane Brown Dishes On What Working With Jelly Roll Was Like

When it comes to crafting songs with deep meaning and purpose, Jelly Roll is right up there with the best of them. In this aspect, it’s not surprising that Kane Brown wanted to get Jelly on this track. Kane also had a lot to say about what actually working with Jelly Roll was like.

Brown said: “Hanging with Jelly is fun, and you never know what he’s going to say — and I’m not a big talker, so it’s cool. He’s funny and honestly just a comedian. I love what he’s doing. My dad’s been in prison since ’96, so everything Jelly has been doing with prisons, just going and giving them entertainment, kudos to him. He’s a great dude.”
