Morgan Wallen’s dad just revealed some really big news about his son. It turns out that he is sober now. This all happened after he threw the chair off the top of Eric Church’s Chiefs Bar and got arrested. Whiskey Riff shared what Morgan’s dad Tommy shared about his son.
Morgan Wallen’s Dad Shares He Is Sober
Morgan has his own station on Sirius XM right now and his dad was on there for a segment. He was talking about what he was proud of his son about other than his music. Here is what he had to say:
“I’m Morgan’s dad, Tommy Wallen, bringing you Family Tradition on Morgan Wallen Radio on SiriusXM. Something that doesn’t relate to music or Morgan’s music that makes me really proud, again, there’s no question about this answer also – it’s his sobriety and the Dad he’s become.”
Morgan had never actually admitted that he was sober, but fans wondered. He did say that he hadn’t been to a bar since his time at Chief’s. It sounds like this was the best decision for him.
Morgan Talks About Not Going To Bars
Morgan Wallen spoke out about not going to bars. Here is what he had to say:
“It’s definitely the best thing for me, you know. If you’re using the bar as a specific example, that’s definitely the best thing for me. I ain’t been in a bar since the last time I was in a bar that everybody knows about. The most public time I was in a bar, that’s the last time I was in a bar.”
Morgan’s dad has talked about him before in public and how proud he is of his son. He is proud of his music but also the man he has become. He said, “I must have been on the road when I first heard Morgan on the radio. No matter where I drive today, it doesn’t take long before he pops up on a country station. With this fourth studio album on the books, Morgan has, by all means, made it. With that success, he’s taken me and our family to some amazing places.” It is great that Morgan has been able to do so much for his family.
