Riley Green is doing something new for himself, and that is acting. He is used to singing on stage, but this is a whole new world for him as he plays a role on the show Marshals. In a recent interview with Military.com, Riley opened up about relying on a Navy Seal for help in this role.
The Character Riley Green Plays
Riley is playing a character by the name of Garrett. He actually has severe PTSD, and this is something that Riley knows nothing about at all. Riley shared that what little he does know about it is from friends of his who have served in the military. This is a big thing to take on, and he didn’t want to get it wrong.

Riley Green spoke out about the Navy Seals on set and said they were helpful. He revealed, “I think we were beyond fortunate that there were Navy SEALs on set that we could kind of lean into if we had questions. That was extremely helpful for me.”
Riley does know a lot about weapons, though. He is comfortable with a gun, but not as comfortable taking out and putting in a magazine fast. The singer shared, saying, “They said you need to be able to do it without thinking about it, without looking at it. We might have a 30-minute break, and I’d be over there just constantly changing the magazine out, putting it back in. That’s what’s going to make it seem real to somebody who actually has been in that situation.”
Don’t Miss Riley On Marshals
You do not want to miss Riley Green in his big acting debut on Marshals. It will air on Sunday night at 7 p.m. CST. It is on CBS and will also be on Paramount+ the next day if you miss it. It does sound like his character will be on the show a few more episodes, but it is unknown exactly how many you will see him on.

He shared that he didn’t want to be seen as Riley Green. Instead, he wanted to be seen as the character, Garrett, that he was playing. Hopefully, he did a great job with it.
