One of America’s favorite couples and The Voice coaching duo, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani release another duet. Seemingly, the couple made the best of their quarantine time together with the release of their new song “Happy Anywhere” reports Taste of Country.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Announce a New Duet Ahead of Concert Series
Shockingly, it’s hard to believe that their first duet, “Nobody But You” is sixteen years old. Additionally, the musically inclined couple also sang together on “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” and “You Make it Feel like Christmas,” according to iHeartRadio reports.
The song announcement comes just days before the superstar couple are set to perform in Encore’s Drive-In Nights concert series. The show with Trace Adkins will be Saturday, July 25. The concert is expected to be similar to Garth Brooks’ Drive-In concert. Additionally, Shelton goes on to describe the event. “This is a great way to enjoy music with your family and friends and stay safe.” Fans in attendance can expect to hear old favorites like “Austin” in addition to new songs. Some songs such as,“God’s Country” will also be sung. While “Happy Anywhere” is set to premiere on Friday, July 24 , fans can expect to hear the song at the concert event.
What is “Happy Anywhere” about?
Taste of Country describes “Happy Anywhere” as “with the right person by your side, it doesn’t matter where you are or what the circumstances are.” Heartwarmingly, Shelton announces in the press release, “We’ve all been in quarantine and lockdown, and hopefully we’ve been doing that with somebody that we really love and enjoy being around.” The Oklahoma native goes on to say, “That’s what happened with Gwen and me this summer—and this entire year.” Speaking of this year, the powerhouse couple scored a multi-week No. 1 hit with “Nobody But You.”
The music video illustrates the couple is more relatable than fans like to believe sometimes. The music video for “Happy Anywhere” is a montage of photos of the couple. And, the footage is taken inside their ranch home in Oklahoma. Touchingly, some of the footage is shot during Blake’s recent birthday celebration. Also, while sitting on a leather sofa in a wood-paneled living room, the video shows the duo singing together.
Are wedding bells getting louder for the powerhouse couple?
In addition, Fox News describes the song as a “Loving, feel-good” song. This seems fitting amid reports that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani want to get married soon. According to Hello Magazine, fans are urging the couple to get married. The duo’s social media is almost always peppered with comments such as, “It’s about time for Blake to put a ring on Gwen’s finger now and make her happy.” Another common comment is, “Blake marry Gwen she is the one.” One time, Gwen even responded with, “Can’t wait.” Gwen also said, “I just never thought in my wildest dreams, on paper, a cowboy and a ska-like girl from Anaheim would be hanging out, but it works perfect and we’re just having so much fun, and we just feel so blessed to be at this point in our lives.”
