Blake Shelton is doing promotion work for his new duet with girlfriend Gwen Stefani. Blake recently told SiriusXM’s The Storme Warren Show about life on his Oklahoma ranch. Because of the recent pandemic Blake and Gwen are social distancing together.
The country star admitted he’s enjoying spending time with Gwen Stefani. He told host’s Storme Warren and MC “You wake up and look at the news and you’re starting to realize that this quarantine is not working out too well for a lot of people who are finding out … they don’t like being around each other as much as they thought they did, which is terrible.”
Apparently, Blake and Gwen are luckier then most country artists. Referencing the number of divorces that include Darius Rucker, Kacey Musgraves, and Carly Pearce and Michael Ray. Blake said it’s the “opposite effect for him and Gwen, they have been having a blast” during quarantine.

Taking A Break From Work
Blake Shelton is thankful to take a break with this longtime love of five years. Gwen has three kids with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale which makes her schedule very hectic. Blake’s schedule is also hectic with his show The Voice and with touring. Shelton said they both have been active in the music industry since “our early, early 20s.”
Blake shared, “Obviously, none of us like these circumstances, but I’d be lying if I said that I’m not having a blast being stuck at home for this long because I’ve just never gotten to do it. Since I’ve owned a home, I’ve never been able to be there more than two weeks max at a time.” Blake admitted, “This has been an eye-opener, I told my manager, I said, ‘Man, you might have a hard time getting me to go back on the road again actually.”
Making Sweet Music Together
Blake Shelton and the No Doubt front-woman while on the ranch had inspiration to do another duet. “Happy Anywhere,” is the couples fourth song together since they connected on The Voice. According to People the two love birds are perfectly content with each other. Just as long as they have each other what else matters.
Blake Shelton said, “We’ve been doing things that I wished I had time to do for the last 20 years,” literally stupid things like pick blackberries … We grew a garden. I grew several acres of sweet corn. Country things like that!” Blake admits, “I can’t be still, especially when I’m home. There’s just too much stuff I want to do and want to experience.”
The Voice returns in the fall with judges Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend. Stay tuned to the show to see if Blake and Gwen will sing their new song, “Happy Anywhere.”
