Does Blanco Brown believe Jason Aldean is racist?

Blanco Brown has joined in the conversation of whether or not Jason Aldean should continue to be crucified for his latest song which many are depicting as racist. The video for the song was pulled from CMT creating even more drama. The artist went to Twitter and Instagram to share his thoughts on Aldean.

The tweet which has since been deleted clearly let the world know that Blanco does believe Jason is racist. He said, “Aldeans Stream Are Gonna Go Through The Roof… I hate the words to that song but I don’t believe he’s a racist, one of the first to check on me in my time of need.”

He shared more of the same on Instagram. In fact, he even shared photos of a text message sent to him by Aldean after his motorcycle crash left him hospitalized in 2020.

He began his Instagram post saying that he had to speak out because he doesn’t want to see a good person painted in a negative light. He also said he believes that Aldean recorded the song with good intentions. Blanco continued that fans should question the songwriters, not the artist.

Blanco even said he’s blessed to have people like Aldean in his corner.

On July 18, Aldean addressed the controversy himself with a lengthy Tweet. He said the accusations are meritless and dangerous. For Aldean the song “Try That in a Small Town” is about “the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief.”

Fans slammed Blanco

Fans slammed Blanco for defending Jason Aldean amid the controversy. One fan said, “Bro you’re a cool guy, stay neutral on this. This isn’t a man you should be standing up for.” Others echoed the same words insisting that Aldean was in the wrong and that Blanco should not be defending him.

Many other country music stars have stepped up to show their support of Aldean amid the ongoing outrage.

  1. I do not think that Jason Aldean is a racist. The video is showing all the riots and evil things that went on these past few years. There is nothing Racist about that. The people on the left are making bad remarks about this and saying that everything they don’t agree with is Racist. That is not true and so wrong. What happened to our Great Country. 🙁
