Blake Shelton is shutting down his wife, Gwen Stefani’s dreams of doing a reality show together. The couple, who married two years ago, have already done The Voice together. Yet, they were against each other as they were both coaching their own teams. Now, Blake has left the reality singing competition and it seems Stefani wants them to film together again. Blake Shelton Shuts Down Gwen Stefani’s Dreams Of Reality Show
When Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani first got together in 2015, they both were getting ready to go through divorces. He was parting ways with Miranda Lambert while Gwen was ending things with Gavin Rossdale. Luckily, they had The Voice to keep their spirits up and their fun, flirtatious nature. Fast forward to 2023 and Blake went through his last season of the reality singing competition after 23 seasons. At the same, he had also started a new, exciting drinking game competition show called Barmageddon. It brought him and his The Voice host Carson Daly together for games, drinks, and music.
Now that Blake Shelton seems to have a little more time on his hands, does his wife want them to have their own reality series? According to Radar, Gwen Stefani is all about a series based around their ranch in Oklahoma. However, this is not something that he is about whatsoever. The couple has already allegedly been experiencing some personal struggles and a show could possibly make things even worse. An insider shared that there is already stress between the two as Blake’s physical appearance has changed since they wed.
He has apparently gained around fifty pounds and now, he has no interest in doing a reality show with her which is breaking her heart. The insider added: “Gwen is furious. She can’t believe he won’t get on board with this idea!” Moreover, Gwen Stefani claims that she simply wants to give her fans what they want and this is it. “Gwen loves being famous more than ever with this whole new connection to her fans ever since she started her own makeup line last year. She’s always going on live and interacting with them, it’s intense.”
Can They Agree?
It appears that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are on two totally different pages. They both want to perform but in different ways. He allegedly just wants her to not be as invested in her celebrity. If that’s possible, that is unclear as she has been in this business for decades. It seems that fans want to see her life behind the scenes and has been relentless. That is where the two come to blows. Maybe they can find a compromise but that is highly unlikely.
