Toby Keith has shared his first photo since he began his cancer battle two years ago. Keith has been battling stomach cancer since 2021 and he has given some small updates recently. He also was seen performing a song at a concert.

Here is a look at the photo that Keith shared and a look at how he is doing since his cancer battle started.

Toby Keith shares photo after 2 years of cancer battle

Toby Keith shared a photo of himself on Instagram with a message for his fans. As he has always done over his career, Toby has worked with children who have cancer. This includes helping pay for a facility where kids and their families can stay while the children are undergoing treatment. According to Keith, his goal was to create a hotel that was like a Disney Land for kids to help get their minds off their cancer treatments.

Years after building this facility and holding several fundraisers to help kids and families involved in cancer battles, Toby ended up with cancer himself. Despite his two-year cancer battle, Toby chose to use this chance to spread the word about helping kids rather than focus on himself.

Toby was wearing a shirt and had a sticker on the back of his hand that dealt with helping kids. He wrote in the caption, “Change kids’ health, change the future.” He then left a URL for people to go and donate to a children’s hospital.

Toby Keith continues to battle cancer

Toby Keith, 61, looked much smaller in his photo, although that is expected from someone in a cancer battle. He underwent chemotherapy and radiation and has undergone surgery during the two years since his diagnosis. He stopped his tour at the time and put his career on hold.

Toby Keith stepped out of the public eye as he began cancer treatment. However, in recent times, he has started showing up again and let fans know he is feeling better. He even had a pop-up concert in Norman, Oklahoma, where he performed for over two hours, singing all his hit songs.

In June, Keith said that everything was looking positive since he started his treatments. “I’m about another eight weeks from my last scan. So I expect next time I look for that tumor to be even less — and I’ve only got one that’s shown up,” he said at the time. Keith also said he’d like to be out doing more concerts this fall.

Toby Keith released 20 studio albums and 65 singles over his career. He has sold over 40 million units worldwide and remains one of the best-selling country music artists in history.
