Carrie Underwood’s latest performance has brought back fond memories of her inner rockstar days. She has joined Guns N’ Roses for three of their shows. Their first stop together was in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada and it was undoubtedly a blast for Carrie as she rocked out to a few iconic tunes.
Carrie Underwood lives out her rockstar dreams
It’s no secret that Carrie Underwood is a huge fan of Guns N’ Roses. Her excitement resonates whenever she hears their music. This dream of hers to channel her inner rockstar on the same stage as the iconic rock band has now come to pass. She wasn’t about to let this opportunity pass and she is taking full advantage of it. The country music sensation took to the Canadian stage looking like a total rock legend. She came out wearing a short black outfit that showed off her signature legs. The black and silver jacket over it complemented the concert attire. Keeping it a little bit country, she wore a pair of grey cowboy boots. Her blond hair was kept long so she could fling it around as she rocked out to the music.
In her recent Instagram post, Carrie Underwood revealed how nervous she was before taking the stage with Guns N’ Roses for the first Canadian stop of the tour. She normally draws a huge crowd in front of country music fans. However, she was singing in front of a whole new set of fans that love their rock tunes. Carrie indicated in her post that she was thrilled with how welcoming they were.
Just a country girl living out some rockstar dreams…I want to say a HUGE thanks to @gunsnroses for having us out on tour, as well as their amazing fans! I was super nervous playing for another band’s crowd (of a completely different genre, no less) but you all made us feel so… pic.twitter.com/kfwAj8w67W

Carrie performs the same song that got a prediction from Simon Cowell
In 2005, Carrie Underwood became the fourth American Idol winner. The song that got her top praises from judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul was the iconic Alone by Heart. The moment that Carrie chose to stray from her country roots and go all out rock and roll for that song seemed to seal her fate as the next American Idol. Now, 18 years later, the mom of two went all out once again to belt out that same song for the Guns N’ Roses tour, according to Music Mayhem.
Carrie gave all she had this time around and was much more animated as she sang. She certainly has more experience and stronger vocals. Back in her American Idol days, Simon Cowell predicted that she would win the singing competition and that she would go on to sell more records than any previous Idol winners. Of course, there were only three before her, but Carrie has become the most successful winner that came from that show.
