Miranda Lambert Taking A Break, Selfie Drama The Cause?

Country superstar Miranda Lambert is taking a break from performing but is all of the selfie drama the cause for it? She has had it rough since she called out a group of women for taking selfies during her show. Then, more stuff surfaced and it just made her concerts look like they were not the most fun. So, why exactly is she taking time off? Does she need a reset? Is she scared about her career? Or, is it something else? Read on for all of the details.

Miranda Lambert Taking A Break, Selfie Drama The Cause?

People are having a blast at concerts this summer and Miranda Lambert was a top choice. Then, a few ladies decided to take a selfie as she started singing “Tin Man” and it made her seem awful. She called them out in front of the rest of the concertgoers and that was extremely embarrassing. Then, a video resurfaced of Lambert popping a beach ball that landed on the stage. She reminded fans that this was a country show not a beach and that was the icing on the cake. Other artists chimed in with how they felt. While LL Cool J and Jana Kramer sided with the fans, Jelly Roll was in the middle.

Now, Miranda Lambert is taking time off according to Radar Online. So, why is she doing this? Does it have to do with all of the backlash that she received from the selfie controversy? Initially, it looked like maybe she wanted to take some time to herself to let all of the drama die down. However, her rep has disputed this: “She was already scheduled for time off to work on new music during the window in between her Las Vegas Velvet Rodeo shows. One has nothing to do with the other.”

Miranda Lambert will do three shows outside of Vegas and then return on November 30th to the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood. When she comes back, it is unclear if she will have a different cell phone policy. More so, it is unclear how she will handle the three shows that are outside of the residency, one which is outside of the country.

A Different Song?

Miranda Lambert has talked about changing up the setlist to accommodate girls fighting. Apparently, some songs caused them to brawl so she moved them to the end so they would just miss the finale. Jelly Roll noted that Lambert may not have been so offended about the girls taking a selfie had they done it during a less emotional song. So, maybe she should put a disclaimer up before she sings these songs that mean the most? Ultimately, it is her show and she will do what she wants.
