Gwen Stefani has been in the public eye for decades. As that is the case, she has aged in front of generations of fans – spanning her early days with No Doubt to her current era. Still, even though it is expected for celebs to experiment with different things to keep them looking young, many of her fans think she has gone too far with her recent antics. So what’s the latest?
Gwen Stefani Has Always Been A Bombshell
As far back as her early days with No Doubt in the 80s and 90s, Gwen Stefani was always on the radar when it came to her looks. Even so, she didn’t ever fit the typical blonde bombshell title. Because she stepped into the public eye as a rock star, she always had the edge and attitude that traditional blonde bombshells lacked. In this way, she was able to make a name for herself while also not fitting into your typical box.
With all of that in mind, aging gracefully can become problematic for people who have been under the bright lights for as long as Gwen Stefani has. Indeed, even though she still has her trademark beauty well into her 50s, some of her recent antics have been putting people off – particularly when it comes to various beauty modifications.
Many Gwen Stefani Fans Think She Has Gone Too Far
Over the last few years in particular, Gwen Stefani has been at the center of plastic surgery speculation among fans. While she has always had naturally good looks, it’s hard to escape the chatter that her current youthful appearance at 54 could have as much to do with modern enhancements as it does her good genes. Still, even though fans speculate, Stefani has never openly admitted to any cosmetic work.
The Voice judge recently shared a video on social media putting her face on. Almost as if she was expecting the backlash, she recorded a voiceover mocking her eyelashes and more – channeling the critics preemptively. Even with Gwen Stefani expecting the backlash, that didn’t stop followers from chiming in.
One follower said that she is “so generic now”. Piling on even more, another said that she “literally ruined herself” – along with the reputation she cultivated early on in her career as an edgy rocker chick. Moreover, even though she has millions of followers, it’s clear that many are not happy with everything she is doing now, especially when it comes to her looks. Some even call her out for copying the Kardashians.
The Voice Judge Not Bothered By The Backlash
Even with all the hate she has received because of her looks, and for what many see as her selling out and becoming mainstream, Gwen Stefani seems more than happy doing her own thing. For good measure, she even made sure to use products from her own makeup line in the video she shared.

So, whether it’s fighting off Internet trolls or dealing with chatter about her marriage to Blake Shelton being on the rocks, Gwen seems more than content to live her life her way – turning the other cheek before covering it with her products.
