Luke Combs is an artist who doesn’t put out a bad song, according to his many fans. Recently, even his wife was blindsided by new music that her husband was working on. She had a proud moment as his wife, as the mother of his children, and also as a fan hearing her husband’s new track, and it’s exactly this kind of wholesome reaction that listeners love to see.
Luke Combs Is A Proud Family Man
Luke Combs may be a bona fide country star, but, one thing he loves just as much as selling out stadiums and racking up number-one hits is being a family man. When the Fast Car singer isn’t out on the road, performing iconic duets, or collecting awards, he is a proud father to two young boys.
Luke Combs met his wife, Nicole Hocking, through mutual friends in 2016. The pair made it official in August of 2020, and the couple share two sons. They welcomed Tex Lawrence Combs in June of 2022, and Beau Lee Combs in August 2023. In a relatively short time, they have a thriving family of four.
Luke Combs Worked On A Song That Hit Close To Home
A while back, Luke Combs recorded and shared an acoustic rendition of a song he was working on called The Man He Sees In Me. It’s a heartfelt and touching song about setting a good example for your children as you nurture them and watch them grow. As a father of two, Combs takes that responsibility to set a good example very seriously, serious enough to dedicate a song to the subject.
At the time he shared the acoustic version he recorded, it was already a hit. This was just a rough rendition that Luke Combs was working on, but even back then, his listeners couldn’t wait for the full version.

Nicole Combs Gets Emotional Over Husband’s New Song
Recently, Luke Combs released a more complete studio snippet of his song on social media, asking for fan opinions regarding how the song is coming along. As much as Combs’s fans had nothing but good things to say about how his new song is coming together, the biggest fan of them all was his wife.
Combs’s wife Nicole was clearly just as surprised as anyone to hear the latest music from her husband. In fact, she was completely “blindsided,” as it doesn’t seem like she knew her husband was even working on such a gem.
