Miranda Lamber is in the middle of her own successful Las Vegas residency with her Velvet Rodeo show. The chart-topping singer plays all of her biggest hits as part of this show. After a successful run in Sin City, Lambert is winding down, with only a few Velvet Rodeo shows left. It has certainly been a memorable experience for anyone who has been lucky enough to attend.

One thing that fans have always loved about Miranda Lambert is how down-to-earth and approachable she is. No matter how big she has gotten in the two decades since she first made a splash on the country music scene, Miranda has never forgotten where she came from, or the causes that she cares about.
Miranda Lambert loves horses. She makes sure to take good care of the ones she has. Riding them around her property is a comfort to her, and even serves to inspire her songwriting. However, it’s not just hoofed animals that she cares about. She is an advocate for animals in general, and she made a statement to show her support recently.
Country Icon Donates Huge Check To Charity
In a feel-good update that Miranda Lambert recently shared on social media, she told her millions of followers that one dollar from every ticket sold from her Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas Residency is going toward the MuttNation Foundation.
This foundation was founded by Miranda Lambert and her mom in 2009. It’s a non-profit organization with the goal of finding shelter pets good homes, spaying and neutering, as well as educating the public about these issues. They even help to relocate animals in areas affected by natural disasters.

In total, Lambert donated a sizable $140,000 check to help the cause, with the proceeds coming directly from her Velvet Rodeo ticket sales. This is a fantastic way for Miranda Lambert to use her platform for good, and it’s clear she is not afraid to reach into her own pockets to support the causes she loves.
