Country superstar Morgan Wallen was arrested on felony charges at Eric Church’s Nashville bar, Chief’s. The branded honky-tonk bar is supposed to be a place for fun but Wallen opted for something else. So, what exactly happened? Keep reading for more details on his arrest and upcoming court date.
Morgan Wallen Arrested At Eric Church’s Bar, Felony Charges
Eric Church has a fun new bar in Nashville called Chief’s and it is always great when celebrities pop in. Not only does it help to validate the spot but it brings further attention. Unfortunately, Morgan Wallen brought the wrong kind of press on Sunday, April 7th, 2024 to Chief’s with some atrocious behavior. According to Page Six, Wallen was arrested and charged with three felonies.
It all officially went down in the early hours of Monday, April 8th, 2024 but started brewing late Sunday evening. Per local News Channel 5, police officers were standing outside of the bar. That was when a chair landed in front of them from above. It was soon learned that Wallen had been the culprit and had tossed a chair from the rooftop but then laughed after the incident.

According to Wallen’s attorney:
“At 10:53 p.m. Sunday evening, Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities.”
As for Wallen’s mugshot, the “Spin You Around” singer was beaming and smiling so big, as if he had the best night of his life.

As for what is next for Morgan Wallen, his bond was set at $15,250 and he was ultimately released in the wee hours of the morning. Ultimately, he got very lucky when it came to his court date. Wallen has shows in Nashville on May 2nd and 3rd and must appear on the 3rd. However, this is not the first time he has been in hot water which is becoming a problem.
Past Issues
Morgan Wallen is currently dealing with these felonies but he has had his fair share of bad boy behavior. In 2016, he was charged with a DUI but was lucky enough to get that dismissed. Then, in 2020, he was arrested, that time for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. His infamous mullet took center stage for the mugshot and then, in 2021, he came under fire for using a racial slur so he had to find a way to make that right.
“I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”
Now, this is weighing on him so Wallen needs to figure out what makes him act out and how he can once again, rebuild. Are you shocked at this or does nothing surprise you about Morgan? Let us know in the comments below.
