Jelly Roll Left Internet Over Weight Cyberbullying
Over the last year, Jelly Roll has made it no secret that he wants to get back in shape. He started to lose weight on his 2023 tour and now, he is training for a May 2024 5K. While doing so, he has dropped 70 pounds and wants to lose another 100. He has his biggest tour, the Beautifully Broken Tour, starting in August and going all of the way through the end of October. Therefore, it will be incredibly intense and grueling. His lifestyle is changing and his wife, Bunnie XO has noted that he eats better than most people she knows.
However, people are cruel and that has not stopped them from saying hurtful and mean things about the singer. According to Us Weekly, Bunnie shared that Jelly has left the Internet due to cyberbullying over his weight. She discusses this on her popular Dumb Blonde podcast.
“My husband got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his f—king weight. And, like, that makes me want to cry because he is the sweetest angel baby. My husband doesn’t show it to you guys, but I’m gonna have a very vulnerable moment here — it hurts him. The internet can say whatever the f—k they want about you, and they say, ‘Well, you’re a celebrity, you’re supposed to be able to handle it.’ No the f—k we’re not.”

After Bunnie explained what her husband goes through, she took the time to chat about how cyberbullying truly affects people. She added that it can lead someone to suicide and it is mentally harmful. Fans who saw the clip immediately chimed in:
- He is a sweet soul. He has gone through a lot of hurt to be able to love is hard as he does.
- To actually troll Jelly Roll, the nicest most humble guy on the planet, is wild!
- I Love Jelly Roll!!
A Healthy Jelly
One fan did say that they just wanted Jelly Roll to be healthy so he could be around forever which is valid. By the same token, bullying someone is not going to help them but rather make matters worse. Jelly has not hidden his weight issues. He has shared that, in 2015, he tipped the scales at over 500 pounds and that was an “embarrassing” moment for him. Jelly then lost 200 pounds but went on to gain back 60 pounds from being on tour. He is still somewhat active on social media it just seems he is staying more low-key due to what he is experiencing.
