Jelly Roll is finally able to perform outside of America after being denied due to his bad boy history. He has an epic tour coming up starting in the Summer of 2024. Fans would love to see him all over the world but sadly, he is unable to grant their wishes. Now, it looks like he is one step closer to making dreams come true. Keep reading for all of the exciting details.
Jelly Roll Finally Able To Perform Outside Of America
This summer is going to be amazing for Jelly Roll as he will embark on his Beautifully Broken Tour. It will be his biggest tour ever and he is more than excited. More so, he just completed a 5K so he trained very hard, dropping seventy pounds. Now, he is on a mission to drop around 100 more before the tour even starts so fans may see a whole new Jelly. At the same time, international fans have been desperate for him to come and perform outside of America. Unfortunately, he had not been able to go into some countries due to his felonies.
He shared this detail with Jon Bon Jovi about why he had not performed overseas yet:
“It’s funny, America has finally agreed to let me leave and give me a passport, but some countries won’t let me come because of my felonies. We’re working on that. I think it’s going to work in my favor.”
Jelly even told Howard Stern that he had spoken to his lawyer and it was looking far better than it was half a year ago. Now, the tides have turned and he can leave the country. According to Billboard, Jelly will be performing in Canada on July 8th and 9th. One is a benefit for the Heather Winterstein Foundation. Jennifer Dockstader, executive director of the foundation, had this to say:
“The Heather Winterstein Foundation and the family of Heather Winterstein are grateful that Jelly Roll is honouring us with his very first Canadian concert on our behalf. His dedication to raising awareness, sharing his story of healing, and supporting substance use disorder treatments are a beacon of hope for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people alike across Turtle Island. His message brings the struggles of our loved ones into the open and helps us celebrate the healing journeys of our relatives in our community, offering opportunities for equity and reconciliation.”
As for Ottawa’s Bluesfest, they are thrilled to have someone like him with the story he has. He will be joining Maroon 5, Carly Rae Jepsen, Killer Mike, and more. It seems that it is Jelly’s story that is continuing to open doors for him.
Always Giving Back
The one thing about Jelly Roll that no one can take away from him is that he is a true giver. He has been through so much and knows that he went down a bad path but he wants everyone to know that there is hope. Jelly visits jails and detention centers to inspire and show what the other side looks like. He and his wife, Bunnie XO have had their fair share of struggles. Yet, they came together and mapped out what they wanted from their lives and made all of their dreams come true. Now, he can check another one off the box.
