Megan Moroney’s music career has almost been overshadowed by her love life. She reveals why she’s single after a fling with Morgan Wallen.
Megan Moroney Confirms Morgan Wallen Rumors
Rumors began in 2022 that Morgan Wallen was dating country singer Megan Moroney. She sparked the dating rumors by wearing a Tennessee Volunteers t-shirt that belonged to Wallen. Moroney didn’t directly address the rumors until an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast earlier this month.
She confirmed that there was something to the rumors about her and Morgan Wallen. However, she made it clear that they were never in a relationship or dating exclusively.
Moroney said that she didn’t talk about it before out of respect for Wallen, whom she refereed to as a friend.
Why She Isn’t Dating
Megan Moroney recently spoke to Fox News about her life since her “Tennessee Orange” song went viral in 2022. She just released her second album in July. She told the outlet that the songs on Am I Okay? reflect where she’s at in her life. That’s why there are only a few love songs on the album.
“I really don’t have time for a relationship, and I think it’s reflected in my album. There’s two love songs that are maybe kind of hopeful, and then it ends real quick, and that is an accurate representation of how my love life recently went.”
While she may want to get married someday, she is focusing on her career right now. Moroney said she isn’t even dating because she doesn’t want to waste anyone’s time.
“I think because I’m not emotionally available, like, I am not ready to find someone that I want to marry right now, because that’s just not in even the top ten things in my brain right now.”
Megan Moroney Talks Touring With Kenny Chesney
Her career got a huge boost in 2024 when she was asked to join Kenny Chesney’s Sun Goes Down tour. She told Fox News that she grew up listening to Chesney’s music and said it was an honor to be on his tour.
“He’s become a mentor for me and a close friend, and I just am so grateful for him. I watch him every night. And, you know, he doesn’t have a huge production. He’s just that good of a performer…I definitely look up to him in a lot of ways as an artist.”
Fans can expect more music from Megan Moroney before she decides to settle down.
