Two Female Artists Applaud Her

Carly Pearce revealed that Lainey Wilson and Kelsea Ballerini texted her after the situation and had her back.

“I’ve had other female country artists be like, ‘Thank you for showing we are just like anybody else. We shouldn’t be held to this standard that we can’t call somebody out. That’s how I knew it got viral, I was like, ‘Uh oh. This isn’t good.’ But they were so supportive and it was girls aligned in that moment. I think it’s great. Nobody really understands. The females in country music, there’s so few of us. When you have that kind of support from people that you love and are genuinely building you up, they’re like ‘I see you’ and they understand it on a level that my girlfriend isn’t going to understand, I’m glad to know they’ve got my back too.”

Lainey and Kelsea texted Carly within five minutes of each other. This is how Carly knew the video was circulating online. However, she was happy to hear that they had her back. Some fans made her feel like she did the wrong thing. However, this validated her feelings and let her know that it is okay to stand up for yourself.

It seems that Lainey and Kelsea think Carly did the right thing. They should all be able to stand up for themselves. There are not many female country artists, so they need to all stick together. Carly felt as though she was human in the situation and was allowed to stick up for herself in that moment. Most fans agree. What do you think about it? Sound off in the comments below.
