Fans are slamming Jelly Roll amid his latest career move, which has some feeling that he has no “loyalty.” More so, they are starting to believe that he has forgotten where he came from and who helped him obtain all of his success. So, what exactly happened, and is there a chance that he can bounce back? Keep reading for more details.

Jelly Roll Slammed By Fans Amid Career Move, No ‘Loyalty’

Jelly Roll is currently in the midst of his Beautifully Broken Tour, the biggest tour of his career. Fans were thrilled when the tickets became available in February 2024 despite the tour not beginning until August. They waited in online queues, spent a pretty penny, and made the proper arrangements to finally see Jelly up close and personal. He then shared he would be kicking off Season 50 of SNL on September 28th which was extremely exciting. Yet, it was also the same night he was set to perform at the UBS Arena on Long Island. Maybe he was doing both which isn’t far-fetched as it is about an hour’s drive.

On Wednesday, September 18th, ticketholders were alerted that the UBS show had a new date. It had been moved from Saturday, September 28th to Monday, October 7th. What bothered fans was not only that he chose SNL over an obligation he had for seven months but that the show had been moved from a Saturday to a Monday. This did not work for those who had to work or the fans who were traveling for the show. Refunds were offered via Ticketmaster though some were not eligible. Finally, Jelly did not even apologize or offer a sincere explanation.

Soon enough, fans took to his social media to share their disdain and thoughts. Despite how much he has done for those in need and more, that all went right out of the window. Fans stated that Jelly has “zero loyalty” and although they respected him being on SNL, it was not enough to move the show.

Fan Speak Out

After all of this happened, as aforementioned, fans and jilted concertgoers went to Jelly Roll’s comment section in an attempt to set him straight:

  • Cant believe you reschedule 9 days before a show. We paid a lot for tickets and now cannot take off of work on a Monday to go. Been looking forward to this show since March.
  • Zero loyalty to your fans . At least reschedule for another Saturday when your fans can attend. And zero remorse . Makes your fans look at you a little differently.
  • Wow! This concert was a bday present for my 12 yo niece. Thanks for ruining that!
  • Great for you to get to live out a dream. But moving a scheduled show on a Saturday to Monday and disappointing live fans that bought tickets is pretty bad. I hope you offer refund to those of us who planned to travel, booked hotels, and planned on being at your show. That would be true support to the fans.
  •  I thought you were for the people so disappointed in you for doing this. Please refund everyone’s money or reschedule to another Saturday night. 🤬🤬

So many comments echoed this same sentiment. Plus, some fans bought their tickets from third-party sites as that was the only way they could get them. Therefore, that added insult to injury with refunds. Another family was traveling from Florida and now, everything is in shambles. Others wanted Jelly to know it was the fans who afforded him opportunities such as SNL. It will take a lot for him to gain their loyalty back and who knows how he will be able to do it.

Do you agree with the uprising and are you surprised that this all went down? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
