Riley Green Sparks Rumors With Duet Partner
Most musicians want to be known for their songs, not their personal life. However, with the rise of social media, an artist’s love life is often heavily scrutinized. Letting the public in on your love life also means letting them in on the breakup. Just ask Kelly Clarkson or Maren Morris.
The singer sparked rumors he was dating Ella Langley earlier this year after fans noticed major chemistry when they performed together. The country musicians collaborated on the songs “You Look Like You Love Me” and “Don’t Mind If I Do.”
Why He Keeps His Love Life Private
Ella Langley denied that there was romance brewing with Riley Green. Fans still don’t believe her. But he opened up to Kelleigh Bannen on Today’s Country Radio about the reason why he prefers to keep his dating life private.
He explained that he wanted to keep the mystery alive for listeners. “Well, I mean all the duets that I really loved growing up, you always kind of wondered, is there something going on or whatever? And I think as a fan you kind of like that story … You like for stuff to be true… When you hear a song, it’s a love song,” Green said.
He continued, “And that’s what made George [Jones] and Tammy [Wynette] so big I think, is that all their songs were so about what was really going on. And then when they split, George is still writing these lovesick heartbreak songs.”
He specifically addressed the rumors about his relationship with Ella Langley, saying, “So for me and Ella to have two songs we do that are doing that much, I’m sure there’s a lot of rumors and speculation, but it’s cool, man. It’s cool to see people react and have emotion to something that you write, more than anything that’s what’s enjoyable about it.”
