Dolly Parton Celebrates Special Anniversary
There have been a lot of exciting things happening in Dolly Parton’s life lately. She has had to slow her touring down to tend to her husband, Carl Dean. Yet, that has not stopped the performer from venturing into other avenues to keep herself busy. She started a makeup line which makes a lot of sense given how much she adores beauty. It was a lifelong dream to do something in the arena and she finally had the chance. Dolly also worked on a cookbook with her lookalike sister, Rachel.
She is doing a lot with her family and she has a bevy of products for animals and parties available online and in stores. Her life is not stopping even though she says she is taking a step back here and there. Now, Dolly is celebrating the 50th anniversary of her album, Life is Like a Butterfly. This is a huge moment so she is ensuring that she honors is properly. According to Page Six, Dolly has teamed up with jeweler, Kendra Scott for a special collection to commemorate the album. It is limited-edition so fans better strike while they can.
So, why choose Kendra Scott and not someone else to collaborate with? Dolly explained the method to her madness:
We just clicked. We just really got along great, and she had known about my jewelry, and here we are.
After they collaborated, what did Dolly and Kendra come up with for the fans to enjoy? Ten pieces to reflect the album and Dolly’s butterfly love including a cocktail ring, a statement bracelet, and two sizes of earrings. Finally, there is a 1974 Butterfly Statement Necklace with only 1,974 made. This is an ode to Kendra Scott’s birth year and the year of the album.
A Match Made In Heaven
Dolly Parton felt the love the moment she met Kendra Scott and the feeling was reciprocated. They both have a special fondness for butterflies, which Kendra noted:
The butterfly represents so much to both of us. It’s about transformation.
There is more to come from the ladies. They intend to work on more jewelry down the line so this is just the start of a beautiful relationship. It starts at $70 but for the Dolly lover, it could be worth it as a collector’s item. Hopefully, she will create something for every album she ever released.
