A fan claimed that they were brutally injured while attending a Luke Bryan concert at the Xfinity Theater in Hartford, Connecticut. This occurred in 2022; a lawsuit was filed in 2024, and now it has finally been settled. So, what was the outcome? Keep reading for more details.

Luke Bryan Concert Turns Dangerous

Concerts are supposed to be fun outlets, but they have turned aggressive. Fans have been throwing personal items on stage at the performers, and it can be dangerous. Riley Green and Morgan Wallen have had phones thrown at them. There is no rhyme or reason for this, but it happens all of the time. In 2022, at a Luke Bryan concert held in Connecticut, a fight broke out. Gary Stanhope was in attendance when he claimed that he was “assaulted and violently beaten into unconsciousness.” He also added that he suffered a traumatic brain injury and a hematoma in the brain.

Therefore, he was placed in a coma and had to spend “3 to 4 days” on a ventilator. Finally, Gary Stanhope maintains that he continues to suffer from headaches and PTSD from the incident. The reason that he sued was that he believed Live Nation was at fault for not having proper security. Moreover, he felt they should have warned attendees of the “possible dangers of crowd violence.” Ultimately, this was not something that could have been predicted and came out of nowhere. However, it was presented as the fault of an unruly attendee and not Live Nation.

It did appear that there was not a fast enough reaction to aid what was happening at the Luke Bryan show. Therefore, that was a problem, but it did not make it to a jury. A private settlement was reached, and hopefully it is enough to suffice for what happened.

Luke Bryan Not Named

Fortunately for Luke Bryan, he was not named in the lawsuit, and that makes sense. It was not his fault that people were getting out of control. Moreover, in the video seen above, he can be seen disciplining those who think it is okay to go crazy in a bad way at his shows. He has a zero-tolerance policy for bad behavior, and people respect that:

  • That’s great Luke glad you broke up the fight.
  • Right on, Luke; show them how it’s done!
  • Love how Luke reacted very awesome

Hopefully, people learn how to behave and see that it is not worth acting up and out at these shows. Had you heard about this lawsuit before? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
