Today posts started going up online saying that Garth Brooks was booed off stage and even crying on the stage. This allegedly had to do with some backlash he has received for saying that he will serve Bud Light in his bar. So did this really happen?
Reports Garth Brooks Was Booed And Crying
Texas Governor Greg Abbott actually tweeted an article today saying that Garth Brooks was booed off the stage and crying over it. Forbes shared about what happened. It said that Garth was in Texas in the town of Hambriston when this went down. It revealed that after just two minutes he left the stage. If you check his Twitter posts now, it has been removed. It was also shared in other places, such as the Facebook post below.
Did This Really Happen?
The thing is this never really happened. Garth Brooks has been performing in Las Vegas recently. Also, the town of Hambriston, where this allegedly took place, doesn’t even exist. Snopes shared about this and revealed that it isn’t true at all.

They reported that the claim was that Garth Brooks was booed off the stage at the 123rd Annual Texas Country Jamboree. It was even reported that Garth stood on stage for about 90 seconds crying after he got booed. That isn’t true at all, though. None of it even happened.
The post was originally on a site named Dunning-Kruger Times, but this site makes it very clear that they just write satire. They are known for writing stories that are fake and that they think are funny. This is just another case of one of those stories. It sounds like the Annual Texas Country Jamboree isn’t a real thing either. This was all just simply made up to get a rise out of people and it worked. They even had a fake quote from Toby Keith in the article saying that Brooks was playing for the other side now. Here is what the site says on it.
