Blake Shelton, in addition to being a chart-topper and entrepreneur, is also a guy who isn’t afraid to speak his mind. According to Gwen Stefani’s husband, artists that do one specific thing are “perverts” in his eyes. So, what is it?
Blake Shelton Knows How To Put On A Killer Live Show
Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that Blake Shelton knows a thing or two about putting on a great live show. This is the case as he makes his way from city to city with his Back To The Honky Tonk Tour. Fans all over are enjoying being able to get the opportunity to see Blake out on the road, and he is certainly creating some memorable moments for audiences everywhere.
In addition to playing all of his memorable hits, fans love Blake Shelton for his quick wit. Between songs, fans can always count on Blake to deliver a great one-liner or a relatable anecdote that ties everything together and enhances the night as a whole. Blake certainly has a lot of relatable stories and opinions, and he is never afraid to share them with his fans.
Shelton Calls Other Artists Perverts, Why?
Shelton is never afraid to speak his mind. During one of his recent Back To The Honky Tonk shows in Portland, Oregon, he got on his soapbox and gave his audience a piece of his mind. The way Shelton sees it, he hates artists who ask audiences to wave their hands from side to side. Apparently, Blake is not at all a fan of this common practice at concerts.
However, Blake Shelton did a lot more than simply express his disdain for this. According to him, artists that ask their audiences to do this are “perverts.”
Blake Shelton said while addressing his Portland crowd: “Nobody wants to do that ****, man. Nobody in here wants to stand here tonight and go… like we are having a countdown or something. Waving for the Uber ‘I’m right here.’ Slappin’ the dude next to you.”
Blake Shelton didn’t stop there, adding: “Perverts are the only people that like that part of the show… because that’s a boob grab right there.”

Country Fans Loving Back To The Honky Tonk Tour
In addition to these off-the-cuff gems from Blake Shelton, fans attending his current tour also get treated to all his hits as he is back out on the road and having a spectacular time. Longtime Blake fans are in for all kinds of surprises, as he recently reintroduced one of his classic tunes to his live set that he hasn’t played in years.
Out on this latest tour, Shelton brought The Baby out from the archives and put it back in his live set. Initially, he said that he put the song on ice and quit playing it live because of its hard-hitting emotional nature. However, since bringing it back into the rotation, he regrets ever taking it off, and many of his longtime listeners are glad to see he brought it back.
As a bonus, if ever Shelton’s shows start getting too heavy, fans can always count on him to share his personal opinions for a laugh, just like he did recently during his Portland show.
