Jelly Roll has taken his mother, Donna on a special stroll she will never forget. The superstar admits that he has put his mom through so much as a troubled youth. Now, he gets the chance to repay her in so many ways and this one was something she never even imagined. So, what did Jelly and his wife, Bunnie XO arrange? Keep reading for all of the details.
Jelly Roll Takes Mom On Special Stroll She’ll Never Forget
For Jelly Roll, he admits he was an awful criminal but he was still a criminal nonetheless. He was arrested and locked up more times than he can count or cares to remember. Yet, his mother, Donna DeFord was always there for him, answering every call. Whether he was a homeless addict or an inmate, he knew he had her and he promised he would make it as a musician. He talked about what it was like to call Donna after receiving two Grammy nominations:
…it was me getting to call a woman I’ve called from jail, a woman I’ve called homeless, a woman I’ve called addicted, a woman I’ve had to sit down and tell her I had a drug addiction, a woman I’ve had to tell her I was running from the police, a woman I’ve had to call with all this horrible news…and I got to call and say I just got nominated for two f***ing Grammys…it’s the craziest call you can make.
Now, after all of his success and even getting permission to perform outside of the country, he is constantly giving back. To the jails, to detention centers, to the homeless community, and to anyone in need. However, Jelly just gave Donna a very special moment that she will never forget. According to Country Living Nation, along with Bunnie, they took her to the beach after thirty years. Donna utilizes a wheelchair so simple tasks are not as easy or accessible for her. That did not stop Jelly and Bunnie plus they documented the whole trip.

Clearly, Donna was having the time of her life and made the most of her time in the sand. Nothing was holding her back and this was a dream come true.
Fans Love Him Even More
After seeing what Jelly Roll did for his mother, fans were even more in love with him and his big heart than ever before. They also could not believe how speedy Donna was, cruising the beach:

Jelly has been working hard to get his health in line so that he can live a very long time. He is also embarking on his biggest tour ever, the Beautifully Broken Tour, which begins at the end if August. For now, he is relishing the time with his family and giving Donna a beach stroll she won’t soon forget.
