Dolly Parton is releasing a sweet duet with her niece but there is a catch. It was recorded nearly forty years ago but never released to the masses. Now, Dolly is putting a special twist on the single and adding a familial flare to it. So, what song is it, and which niece will be making an appearance? Keep reading for more details.
Dolly Parton Releases Sweet Duet With Niece
There are a lot of things on Dolly Parton’s plate right now and they are all very exciting. She is launching a cookbook with her lookalike sister, Rachel which fans are so excited about. They can already buy her recipes in the supermarket as well as in the frozen food section. Furthermore, she has ventured into the cosmetics business, starting with lipsticks named after her top songs. So, there is a lot of Dolly coming to 2024 but she is not giving up on music anytime soon.
One of her passion projects is an album all about her family roots with said family singing alongside Dolly. She has so much talent, including a niece, Jada Star who appeared on Season 2 of Claim to Fame. Jada used the pseudonym of Jane and gave so much credit to her aunt Dolly. Now, according to People, another niece, Heidi Parton, will duet on a song that was a previously unreleased single. Dolly had recorded this song, “A Rose Won’t Fix It,” in 1988 as a solo song. This seemed like the perfect time to resurrect it and Heidi took the reigns as the lead vocalist.

It was supposed to go on Hungry Again but was nixed and has since ended up on Dolly Parton & Family: Smoky Mountain DNA – Family, Faith & Fables. There will be 37 songs and will even feature deceased relatives, including Dolly’s late mother who died in 2003. Dolly will have released two albums since 2023, as Rockstar was released that year. It became a smash hit and Dolly’s best-selling album to date.
