American Idol judge and country superstar, Carrie Underwood is sharing the gift that she passed down to her sons. Along with her husband, Mike Fisher, they are parents to Isaiah and Jacob but what did she give to her boys? Keep reading for more details.
Carrie Underwood Shares Gift She Passed Down To Sons
As the winner of the fourth season of American Idol, Carrie Underwood has had to prove herself in the industry. She has more than done that, winning eight Grammy awards on the way. Carrie also has her Las Vegas Reflection residency which fans have enjoyed immensely. It even became a Hulu special and now, she is back where she began as an American Idol judge. When Katy Perry left, many were vying for the spot and names were thrown around. Some of them included Miley Cyrus, Meghan Trainor, and Jelly Roll.
Ultimately, it was Carrie who won the gig and she has so much support from her fellow artists. They have said she is the perfect choice given that she has already been through the process. She can understand what the contestants are going through and then give them feedback based on her experience. AI has had its preview episode and will begin regular airing on Sunday, March 9th. She is incredibly busy but Carrie always has time for family. Luckily, her sons, Isaiah and Jacob have something very special from their mother: her talent.

According to People, Carrie opened up about this when she stopped by Live with Kelly and Mark On Wednesday, March 5th. Host Kelly Ripa wanted to know if her sons had inherited any of her musical abilities. To that, Carrie shared that they both were very talented:
They both can carry a tune. I feel like our oldest, Isaiah, probably has the biggest chance of heading in that direction.
So, Jake may also have the talent but where does his heart belong? Someplace very close to Carrie’s husband:
Jake likes hockey. So we may have a little of both because my husband’s a retired NHL player.
Let Them Sing
Kelly Ripa was more encouraging of the singing aspect than the hockey playing. She noted that when boys play sports, everything starts to smell. Carrie Underwood joked that Jake is six but everything already is putrid. As for her stint on American Idol, some fans were turned off by her singing at the presidential inauguration. However, after seeing her, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie on Live, fans seemed more welcoming:
