Country superstar Luke Combs is more than ready to take on the Super Bowl halftime show. It has been a very long time since someone from the country genre has been asked to perform. Yet, the fanbase is huge, so it would only make sense. So, is there an invitation waiting for Luke? Keep reading for more details.

Luke Combs Wants To Take On Super Bowl

The Super Bowl halftime show is just as anticipated as the big game itself. For 2026, there was a lot of controversy surrounding Bad Bunny being chosen. Although he is a Grammy winner and one of the most listened to artists, not everyone felt he was the right choice. There was a lot of petitioning for other musicians to take his place, even country singers. They have a huge fanbase, so it made sense. Plus, there has not been one since Shania Twain in 2003, but now, Luke Combs is ready to take the stage.

Yes, country singers have had other roles at the Super Bowl. For example, Chris Stapleton sang the National Anthem, as did Eric Church. Yet, even Jelly Roll was hopeful that the big game would come to Nashville, Tennessee. Moreover, he wanted to see the likes of Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, and more command the stage. As for Luke, he is waiting for the call. Although it has yet to happen, and he has no idea how it would, he knows it would be a hit to have a country singer such as himself take on the halftime show:

Listen, again, it’s not up to me. I think the people would love it. And that’s no pitch for me, I think it’s just a pitch for country music in general. Whether it’s Garth or Morgan Wallen or whoever it is. Somebody deserves to be up there doing the thing.

Luke Combs noted that he has no idea why it has been twenty-three years since a country star has been the headliner. However, if he were to be approached, he would “do it right now.”

Get It Done

Luke Combs firmly believes that fans want this to happen, and it does not have to be him on the stage. Any country star would be incredible, and when the clip of Shania Twain at the Super Bowl was reposted, followers were obsessed. They loved seeing it again, as some had forgotten she was a headliner:

  • i just learn today that Shania had performed in the Half Time
  • I remember watching this living and dancing in my living room
  • MASTERPIECE OF MISS SHANIA TWAIN….. AMAZING!!!!!!
  • I love me some Shania!! Baby get ittttt!!

Hopefully, Luke Combs or someone else just as incredible can take the stage sooner rather than later. Who would you like to see at the Super Bowl? Let us know in the comments below.
