E!Online reports on the Twitter exchange that began on Sunday, June 28th. Witherspoon tweets, “To the woman in the parking lot who just asked me if I was Carrie Underwood, you officially made my day.” In response, Underwood writes, “YOUR day?!?!?!?! That lady just made my whole life.” Undoubtedly, it is refreshing to see these successful women in entertainment interact on social media.
In a turn of events, TikTok identifies the lady as Noha Hamid. Hamid details the encounters in clip. She explains that, she and her husband were out to eat at BBQ restaurant when she recognizes Carrie Underwood. Hamid says, “So I wait until she goes back to her car so I can ask her, not in front of everyone, to blow her cover.” Respectably, Witherspoon responds, “Hey, no I’m not Carrie Underwood but have a great day.”

In Hamid’s defense the Little Fires Eveywhere actress donned a cowboy hat and mask during their encounter. With that in mind, it is easy to understand how she could mistake two major household names.

It means that you care about other people’s health and safety. Carrie Underwood seems to be making the most out of the way the world’s slowed down during the coronavirus pandemic. According to her Instagram, it appears that the American Idol alum is taking this time to focus on her fitness. Speaking of Fisher, he’s recently made headlines with the theft and recovery of his truck.
