Country singer RaeLynn got her start on The Voice on Blake Shelton’s team. Now, she is speaking out about how she met her husband at church. It sounds like she was at the right place just when she needed to be. People got the chance to talk to her and get the details.
RaeLynn talks meeting her husband
RaeLynn is married to Josh David and the couple met back in 2012. She shared about when she saw him saying, “Obviously I wasn’t focusing on Jesus that day — I was praying, like, ‘Who is that hottie over there? Hallelujah.” Well, it looks like it worked for RaeLynn.
RaeLynn wasn’t shy. She actually slid into his DMs and the two kept in touch. After dating off and on, they are now happily married. She was only 21-years-old when she got married. The singer said, “I’m so thankful that God gave me my person really at a young age. I needed a solid person in my life — and he’s easy on the eyes.”

Her husband is actually in the Army, but it made the couple closer. She shared details.
“It’s just made us stronger. When he was gone for basic training, I was writing him letters every day. After that 14 weeks [apart], when we saw each other, we cried and we both were like, ‘We can now get through anything.’ “
What is she up to now?
RaeLynn is still working on new music. She recently put out a new EP called “Baytown.” This is just six songs, but fans have been waiting for new music from her. She actually toured with Blake Shelton after her time on The Voice. Blake does a great job of supporting the people who are on his team if they win the show or not.
She knows that it is hard being in country music as a woman. RaeLynn spoke to The Tennessean and shared some of her thoughts.
“No matter what, it’s gonna be hard. No matter what, there’s going to be a struggle there. If I’m being myself and I’m happy inside, that’s all that matters. I was making better music with that mindset (opposed to) going in like, ‘OK, I need to write a slow song today. OK, I need to write a song that country radio’s gonna love. OK, I need to write an up-tempo …”
