Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton got engaged not very long ago. The couple is doing great and so far haven’t shared a wedding date. It turns out that when Blake was popping the question she almost didn’t even notice. The coaches of The Voice are now planning a wedding.
Gwen Stefani talks proposal
Gwen Stefani is speaking out and talking about the proposal. Blake already shared that he hid the ring from her in his truck. Luckily, he never lost it there. While on The Kelly Clarkson Show Gwen Stefani talked about the proposal. It turns out that the trip he planned to propose Gwen tried to not go. With COVID-19, she just wasn’t sure about making the trip. Luckily, he was able to convince her to go.
Gwen said, “My dad knew because on my birthday he had showed my dad (the ring) and said he was going to do it.” She went on to explain that they were going to take a walk. A few people who didn’t know the big plan argued, but then they finally went to look at this new house being built.

She went on to say, “My son was sitting right by this, like, fireplace and Blake, basically was getting down on his knees to do a fire and he goes, ‘Hey, can you look in that cabinet over there and get me a fire starter?’ So I opened the cabinet and there was like a ring and a box and I was like, ‘Ahhh!'”
Gwen shares more about herself
If you don’t know it, Gwen Stefani is actually dyslexic and opened up about that as well. Gwen had issues in school with her grades do to it, even though she was a good kid. She explained a few details.
“I think the one thing that I’ve discovered through having kids is that I have dyslexia. I feel like a lot of the problems that I have had or even decisions that I’ve made for myself stem from that,” she continues, “because now the children obviously, it’s all genetic, they have some of those issues. But now they get all these benefits. They have these incredible teachers and schools and they don’t have to have shame about it. They understand that their brain functions in a different way.”
