People have varying thoughts on celebrating their birthdays. A common theme is dread towards getting older. It seems that country mega-star is no different from the rest of us. She takes to Facebook to share her thoughts on her birthday. Read on to find out how Carrie Underwood feels about her age.
Happy Birthday, Carrie Underwood!
Carrie Underwood celebrates her 38th birthday. As she gets closer to 40 years old, she shares how she thinks about getting older in a Facebook post. Earlier today (March 11th) Underwood shares a selfie. The “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer smiles from ear to ear. She has a lot to be happy about.
While the caption for the photo may come off as vehement denial of aging, from what fans know about the former American Idol, they doubt that’s the case. Carrie Underwood begins her birthday post by writing, “I am not 38 years old. I am 38 years young.” Which many would qualify as a case of “is the glass half empty, or half full?” Nonetheless, Underwood proceeds to bring a positive spin on aging.

She goes on to highlight all the things she is on her 38th birthday. Underwood writes, “I am.38 years strong.” Which is undoubtedly true. She isn’t the only one celebrating a birthday. Her athleisure line Calia by Carrie recently had an anniversary. And Underwood has a fitness app called Fit52.
And the list goes on. “38 years awesome! 38 years wise. 38 years accomplished.” Accomplished the singer is. Carrie Underwood’s list of accolades is likely a mile long, at least. It doesn’t seem like she’s slowed down since winning American Idol in 2005. Not only is she accomplished in her professional life, but she’s happily married and raising two precious little boys.

Carrie Underwood goes on to write, “38 years happy! 38 years amazing!” In true Carrie Underwood fashion, she goes on to give gratitude. “I am 38 years blessed…thank you, Lord, for all the trips around the sun! Love all the birthday wishes!” And with two red heart emojis, she closes out her post with, “Happy birthday to me!”
