The Voice coach, Blake Shelton takes to his Twitter seeking culinary advice from his fans. Luckily, this request has a photo. Additionally, it seems like most people don’t know what they’re looking at. Blake Shelton has a mysterious mushroom and seeks culinary advice
Recently, Blake Shelton shares a photo of him holding what looks like a decorative pom-pom that would go on top of a hat. If it wasn’t for the caption, many may even go about their days just believing that this is a decorative household or fashion item. Above the mysterious item, Blake poses the following question. “Would y’all fry this up and eat it?”
First things first, what is Blake Shelton holding? There are many speculations about what the item is. However, thanks to one fan, we’re able to confirm the identity of the mysterious (alleged) food item. The comment reads, “Lions mane mushroom really beneficial for your brain.”

According to Healthline, there are nine health benefits of Lion’s Mane Mushroom. The first two have to do with the brain. This mushroom “could protect against dementia” and “relieve mild symptoms of depression and anxiety.” The article reports that they help with nervous system injuries.

However, this mushroom isn’t just beneficial to the brain. Healthline reports that it “protects against ulcers in the digestive tract.” Not only that, but Lion’s Man Mushroom also “reduces heart disease risk” and “helps manage diabetes symptoms”. Those are just a sample of the listed health benefits of Lion’s Mane Mushroom.
Luckily, the identification of the mystery object Blake Shelton is holding comes early in the string of comments. Otherwise, it’s hard to tell what rabbit hole this tweet may have spiraled down. For example, one person shares, “Looks like a tribble.”
