Blake Shelton leaves all the wedding planning to Gwen Stefani – for good reason
Recently, People reports that Blake Shelton “jokes that wedding to Gwen Stefani would be ‘pretty classless’ if he planned it.” However, considering he is getting married to Gwen Stefani, some may find that hard to believe. Surely the country superstar has some class. Keep reading to find out what Blake says in his interview with USA Today about the wedding.
From the looks of it, Blake Shelton is leaving all the wedding planning to Gwen Stefani. After reading what he has to say about the event, it may be for the best. He shares, “If I was picking our meal, it would just literally be everything fried.”
However, that doesn’t mean that Blake has absolutely no input in the planning. Gwen is thoughtful of her future husband and asks for his input. “She’s like, ‘Hey, I don’t want to just take this thing over,’” explains Blake. But, it seems like it’s all worth it for him to see her happy. “I mean, I know she’s having a blast doing it,” shares Blake.
The couple dishes out a few more clues about their upcoming wedding
While fans may not know the finer details of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s wedding, Blake shares what song will be used for their first dance. This news comes during a recent virtual appearance on The Tonight Show. The chose “If You Leave” from the Pretty In Pink soundtrack.
Also, on Late Night with Seth Meyers Gwen Stefani confirms the scope of the wedding. It will just be family. “It’s gonna be like, my mom and my dad and just literally gonna be just family,” shares the pop star. So while other celebs like Adam Levine have discussed performing at the wedding, it’s beginning to look like that won’t be necessary. “I feel like we’re not gonna have a wedding band,” says Gwen. “I feel like we’re just gonna go with, like, a playlist. We’re keeping it very simple.”
